Recently Jason Dube owner of Scattered Comics Studios and artist of fan favorites Panda Days, Scattered, and Caffeine Poisned, sat down with fan and Cosplayer Nancy Wong about the art of Cosplay and about Scattered Comics Studios.

Jason Q:  If you had to recommend one of Scattered Comics titles which one would you recommend and why?

Nancy A: Caffiene Poisoned because it is light hearted, has humor, and adventure.

Jason Q: What do you think the appeal is about Scattered Comics titles?

Nancy A: The appeal is in characters are easily identifiable and easy to relate to.  The stories are fun and interesting to follow along.

Jason Q: Which characters do you tend to want to follow, and what characters would you like to see have their own series?

Nancy A: I personally like devious characters therefore I would most likely follow Madame Chancey.  She seems like a con-artist, but she can be the real thing…you just can’t tell.  Nebulous characters like that are my favorite.

Jason Q: When you create Cosplay costume, do you use what you have available or do you have to purchase many of the materials?

Nancy A:  I use what I have…however I am an exception because I often buy things I think has cosplay “potential”.  When I find something that has the “potential” I forecast to myself that someday I will be able to use it.  I say to myself, “I don’t have a cosplay in mind yet, but I make the bet that it will be used someday.”

Jason Q: What is your set budget when designing your Cosplay costume?

Nancy A: I don’t really think of a budget, but I know rarely go over $100.00

Jason Q: Do a lot of people ask you to sign the comics that your picture is on?

Nancy A: Those that do spot me will ask, but since I am constantly changing my looks I don’t know if they recognize me from one place to the next.

Jason Q: Would you like to be drawn into a Scattered Comics comic?

Nancy A: Why not?!  That will be awesome.
